TUNGHOYRT at OY – they are currently one of the most exciting names in the Faroe Islands!

They finished 2nd in Sement, have played at the SPOT Festival, at G!, during Ólavsøka, and all around the country. Now they are ready to deliver an explosive concert on September 12 at OY.

Tunghoyrt’s music is melodic and dynamic – and, of course, turned up to 10. Each member of the band brings their own vision to the musical direction, giving the music its own unique soul.

The songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Leirvík is distinctive in the way he blends strong songwriting with rhythm in a way that no one else quite does. This characteristic is likely the reason why his music has been streamed millions of times, and why his songs have traveled around the world several times through television and video games.

Songs about justice, love, darkness, and believing in one’s own strength will be performed together with Knút Háberg Eysturstein on keyboards and Jan Rúni Poulsen on drums.

Let's celebrate the new releaseof SUPERVISJÓN's DEEP LIKE at OY on Friday 27 March at 9 pm!

DJ charlie (formerly Sandavágur Soundsystem) warms up with poetic reggae and dub!

SUPERVISJÓN's performance is a high-energy tórshavn-techno set with a video background, mixed with teambuilding fun.

SUPERVISJÓN confronts existence and calls you to practice self-compassion through unlimited dance. 


The new release DEEP LIKE is eight juke/techno songs, fast bass drums, breaks and samples by Lasse Jæger.

The electronically detuned voice of Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger delivers power-sentences that can help you deal with those who use bully tactics and microaggressions.

All the songs contain samples from the album Brøytingar (1989), by folk/jazz-ensemble Yggdrasil. The samples are a tribute to the work itself. But Brøytingar is also Broytingar meaning Changes in Faroese - and on this new SUPERVISJÓN edition it is a call for change of aggressive social behavior into healthy human bonds. The DEEP LIKE cd will be available for purchase in OY!

SUPERVISJÓN works across video, text and sound installations, poetry, poster/parchment poems, performances and techno music. SUPERVISION is collaboration between the electronic composer Lasse Jæger (b. 1984), and the poet Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger (b. 1981).
